Booking.com Sponsorship
26/03/12 09:29 by Brock Wilcox (awwaiid)
We are pleased to have Booking.com sponsor the 2012 DC-Baltimore Perl Workshop! Booking is hiring perl programmers right now, you should check them out. Booking.com is part of Priceline.com, and is the World's #1 Online Hotel Reservations Company, offering over 200,000 hotels worldwide.
In fact, one of our organizers, Brad from Baltimore.pm, joined Booking.com and moved to Amsterdam during the time that we've been organizing this conference. He'll be returning for the conference, so feel free to grill him on what a good deal Booking.com is offering prospective developers and what his experience has been so far.

Announcing DCBPW!
12/01/12 11:36 by John Anderson (genehack)
The Washington DC and Baltimore Perl Mongers groups are pleased to announce the inaugural DC-Baltimore Perl Workshop (DCBPW).
This one-day event will feature two tracks of speakers and will be held April 14th, 2012, on the campus of CCBC Catonsville. In addition to a track of speakers discussing innovative, exciting, and fun real world usage of Perl, we will have also have a day-long track devoted to Perl instruction, targeting both people who need to update their skills or who have never tried Perl before.
The DCBPW team is currently actively seeking talks as well as corporate sponsors for the event. We will be working on a rolling talk acceptance policy, and the number of speaking slots is limited, so we encourage early talk submissions.
Registration will cost $25 prior to March 1st, and $50 afterwards. Free admission is available for students and the currently unemployed.
More details, as well as registration and talk proposal forms, can be found at the DCBPW website.
We hope to see you all in April for a fun day of Perl!
