@{$_->{'DC-Baltimore Perlyglot Workshop'}}[2020]

The DC-Baltimore Perlyglot Workshop 2020 is a two-day technical conference in Baltimore, MD, which will be held on Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th. Saturday will feature two concurrent sessions of talks by volunteers, covering Perl and related technologies. Sunday will be an open code hacking day for learning, exploration, and collaboration for attendees to dig into everything tech has to offer.

::Call for Talks

Proposals usually cover a wide range of topics like regular expressions, hashes and arrays, unicode, making forms pretty, all about my favorite JavaScript library, managing a group of mongers, parsing logs, my favorite template engine, getting started with OO programming, OO Programming with Module::Name and more.

This workshop is what we call perlyglot, given our beloved roots in perl, but affection for other languages and related technologies as well. Don't immediate discount a presentation idea simply because it may not be based on perl!

All level talks are welcome, beginner to advanced. You don't need to have a finalized presentation ready when you submit a talk proposal - just fill out the form with your topic and summary!

Hello again! This is just a quick notice that, yes, we're on target for a 2020 DCBPW in early april in the Baltimore area. At just an early stage, we have not yet absolutely decided on the venue, and we'll do that before we start recommending and/or making arrangements with the nearest hotels. Still, we wanted to let you know. Check back here for updates.
